Job Description

The Banquet Sales Executive is responsible for generating banquet business for the hotel by identifying leads, meeting clients, conducting venue show-rounds, preparing proposals, closing sales, and coordinating event requirements with the operations team. The role focuses on increasing revenue from weddings, corporate events, social gatherings, conferences, and other banquet functions.

Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business Development

  • Generate new leads through cold calling, networking, database follow-ups, and social media.
  • Meet potential clients and explain banquet facilities, packages, and pricing.
  • Maintain relationships with wedding planners, corporate clients, event organizers, and travel agents.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.

2. Client Handling

  • Conduct property/banquet hall show-rounds for clients.
  • Understand client requirements and customize packages accordingly.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and event contracts.
  • Follow up regularly to convert inquiries into confirmed bookings.

3. Coordination & Event Support

  • Coordinate with F&B, Banquet Operations, Kitchen, Decor, AV, and Admin teams.
  • Ensure all event details (menu, setup, timings, décor, AV requirements, etc.) are properly communicated.
  • Assist during events to ensure client satisfaction and smooth operations.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of inquiries, bookings, revenue, and client interactions in CRM.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
  • Ensure timely payment collection and contract signing.

5. Customer Service

  • Build long-term relationships with clients for repeat business.
  • Handle client queries pre-event, during the event, and post-event.
  • Resolve issues professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.

Skills & RequirementsQualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • Diploma in Hotel Management is an advantage.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in banquet/hotel sales (freshers with strong communication may also apply).

Key Skills

  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
  • Strong customer-service orientation.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Good knowledge of hotel banquet operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office / CRM tools.

  • Number of inquiries converted into bookings.
  • Monthly banquet revenue achieved.
  • Client satisfaction and event feedback.
  • Repeat business and referrals.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
