Backend Engineer

As a skilled Backend Engineer with 48 years of experience in Scala, K8s & CI/CD, your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain scalable microservices using Scala, Akka, and/or LAGOM. Key aspects of this role include designing and implementing containerized applications with Docker, managing them using Kubernetes (K8s), handling real-time messaging systems with Apache Pulsar, and integrating backend services with databases using the Slick Connector and PostgreSQL. You will also be tasked with implementing advanced search and analytics using ElasticSearch and working on GitLab CI/CD pipelines to support deployment workflows. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code is crucial for success in this position. A background in financial, logistics, or real-time data processing domains would also be advantageous.
