Backend Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join our growing team. With a solid foundation in backend technologies, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend systems. You will work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the applications meet business needs and technical requirements. As a Backend Developer, you will play a key role in shaping the architecture and ensuring the robustness of our backend services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Node.js, Java, Python, or similar technologies.
• API Design & Integration: Build and integrate RESTful APIs, Web Services, and work with third-party APIs to enable seamless integration.
• Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas, write efficient queries, and maintain relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
• Scalability & Performance: Focus on building scalable and high-performance systems. Optimize backend components to handle high traffic and large datasets.
• Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices. Review code for correctness, design, and performance.
• Testing & Debugging: Write unit and integration tests to ensure the quality of your code. Troubleshoot issues and resolve bugs in the backend system.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with frontend developers to integrate backend functionality with user-facing components and ensure a smooth user experience.
• Security & Data Protection: Ensure backend applications are secure and data is handled according to best practices, including data encryption and authentication methods.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest backend development trends, tools, and technologies. Continuously improve backend systems and processes.
• Agile Development: Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, Java, Python, or similar backend technologies.
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for hosting and deploying applications.
• Expertise in building and optimizing microservices and serverless architectures.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of version control systems, especially Git.
• Experience with message queues and asynchronous processing (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Proficiency in unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development (TDD).

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
• Experience with graph databases like Neo4j or Amazon Neptune.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and CQRS.
• Working knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
• Exposure to frontend technologies such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular (for full-stack collaboration).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,100,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
