Backend Developer

Role Overview: As a Senior Backend Developer (Node.js) at Media NV, your primary responsibility will be designing, implementing, and maintaining web application server-side logic and databases. You will lead and mentor a team of developers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the architecture and scalability of backend systems. Your problem-solving skills will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of backend applications. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize Node.js, TypeScript, and Nest.js to implement services. - Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using appropriate technologies. - Implement and optimize server-side logic for high performance and reliability. - Demonstrate expertise in databases and NoSQL storage solutions (preferably Mongo, PostgreSQL). - Design and manage databases to ensure data security, integrity, and performance. - Implement database optimization techniques and conduct regular maintenance. - Develop and maintain RESTful, GraphQL, and optionally gRPC APIs for seamless communication. - Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance, support, and conducting code reviews. - Identify and address performance bottlenecks, utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills. - Implement security best practices to safeguard backend systems and data. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions. - Investigate and resolve technical issues in both development and production environments. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in Node.js. - Experience with Product-Oriented Architecture and microservices. - Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ. - Knowledge of Frontend libraries/frameworks such as React or SveltJs. - Proficiency in project management tools like JIRA and source versioning tools like GitHub. - Ability to work independently with self-driven initiatives. - Strong skills in writing clean, well-documented, testable, and reusable code. - Willingness to learn and research new technologies, frameworks, and approaches as needed.
