Backend Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python, Django, and REST API development. The ideal candidate is capable of building scalable architectures, integrating AI/ML models or APIs, and ensuring smooth backend operations with robust deployment workflows.

Key ResponsibilitiesBackend Development

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Build RESTful APIs with clean, reusable, and testable code.
• Design and implement data structures, schemas, and scalable backend logic.

AI/ML Integration

• Integrate AI/ML models, APIs, or third-party AI services into backend systems.
• Work with AI engineers to deploy and optimize model performance.
• Handle data pre-processing, model serving, and performance monitoring.

Database & ORM

• Design, maintain, and optimize relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL).
• Write complex queries, stored procedures, and optimize database performance.
• Work with Django ORM to maintain clean and efficient database interactions.

DevOps & Deployment

• Manage containerized environments using Docker.
• Work with Git, Linux, and CI/CD workflows for smooth deployment.
• Assist in environment configuration, version control, and server management.

Asynchronous Task Management

• Implement asynchronous task queues using Celery, Redis, or RabbitMQ.
• Schedule periodic tasks and manage background job performance.

Troubleshooting & Optimization

• Diagnose and resolve performance issues, bugs, and API bottlenecks.
• Conduct code reviews, maintain documentation, and follow best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands-on backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
• Experience with AI/ML concepts, model integration, or AI APIs.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL and ORM frameworks.
• Familiarity with Docker, Git, Linux, and deployment workflows.
• Understanding of Celery, Redis, or RabbitMQ for async tasks.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and architectural thinking skills.

Preferred (Good to Have)

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Understanding of API security, authentication, and rate limiting.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams.
