About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Backend Developer Intern to join our engineering team. The intern will work closely with senior developers to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems. This role is ideal for candidates who are eager to learn modern backend technologies, contribute to real-world projects, and develop strong problem-solving and coding skills.

ResponsibilitiesCore Development

Assist in building and maintaining server-side application logic.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code under guidance.
Implement RESTful APIs, microservices, or backend modules.

Database & Storage

Work with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Help in creating schemas, writing queries, and optimizing database interactions.

Testing & Debugging

Support in debugging issues, fixing bugs, and improving application performance.
Participate in writing unit tests and integration tests.

Collaboration

Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product teams.
Participate in code reviews and team discussions.

Infrastructure & Tools

Learn and contribute to DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and version control (Git).
Use tools like Docker, Postman, and monitoring dashboards (if applicable).

Required Skills

Basic knowledge of at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, Go, PHP, Ruby).
Understanding of APIs, HTTP, and client-server architecture.
Familiarity with databases and SQL.
Problem-solving mindset and desire to learn.
Understanding of version control systems such as Git.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

Experience with frameworks like Django/Flask, Spring Boot, Express.js, or similar.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Exposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Knowledge of caching, message queues, or microservice architecture.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Strong academic background or demonstrable project experience.
Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
