Job Title: Backend Engineering Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Intern to join our team for 3 months and contribute to building scalable systems for our AI-powered nutrition and wellness platform. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about backend development to gain hands-on experience in Python, Django, and API integrations while working closely with experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing Django-based backend systems.
• Support the development of APIs (REST & GraphQL) for mobile and web applications.
• Work on database schema design, queries, and optimization (PostgreSQL).
• Learn and contribute to asynchronous task processing using Celery/Redis.
• Gain exposure to WhatsApp Business API and webhook integrations.
• Ensure basic application performance, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on debugging and problem-solving.

What We’re Looking For

• Good understanding of Python and its frameworks/libraries: Django, Django Rest Framework, Flask, FastAPI.
• Knowledge of Django ORM, OOPs concepts, REST API development, GraphQL.
• Basic understanding of database design and optimization.
• Familiarity with API design and third-party integrations.
• Strong problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a team.
• Prior project/internship experience in backend development is a plus.
