Role Overview

Backend Developer

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable backend services using
NestJS
and
Prisma
.
Write optimized, production-grade SQL queries and use PostgreSQL indexes, CTEs, and transactions effectively.
Build RESTful and GraphQL APIs focused on low latency and high throughput.
Lead and enforce architectural best practices (modular design, service layers, DDD where applicable).
Optimize Prisma usage for bulk inserts, transactional flows, and query performance.
Collaborate with frontend, product, and game logic teams to ship features that scale.
Set up monitoring, logging, and profiling for backend services to identify performance bottlenecks.
Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and architecture discussions.

Requirements

3+ years
of hands-on backend development experience.
Proficiency in
NestJS
with a strong TypeScript foundation.
Deep experience with
Prisma ORM
and raw query handling.
Strong command over
PostgreSQL
— indexes, query plans, transactions, triggers, and performance tuning.
Experience optimizing APIs for high-volume workloads (ideally in gaming, fintech, or real-time apps).
Solid understanding of system design, API versioning, caching strategies (Redis, etc.), and rate-limiting.
Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
Familiar with Git, REST standards, and security best practices (rate limits, JWT, input validation).

Bonus (Nice to Have)

Experience with game backend systems (e.g., matchmaking, leaderboards, tournaments).
Exposure to pub/sub systems (Kafka, NATS, or Redis Streams).
Experience in multi-tenant or event-driven architectures.
Familiarity with GraphQL and WebSocket APIs.
