Role & responsibilities

Role Summary Seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer with strong Terraform and DevOps expertise to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and automated cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will drive infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices, CI/CD automation, and collaborate with development and security teams to deliver reliable cloud services.

Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform and modular IaC patterns.

Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments using tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Automate cloud provisioning, configuration management, and environment consistency across dev, test, and production.

Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, identity and access management (Azure AD), network segmentation, and least-privilege access.

Monitor infrastructure health, availability, and cost; implement logging, alerting, and observability (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).

Collaborate with application teams to containerize and deploy workloads (AKS, containers, serverless where applicable).

Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes and runbooks.

Create and maintain documentation for architecture, runbooks, Terraform modules, and deployment processes.

Promote and mentor IaC standards, Terraform best practices (state management, workspaces, backend), and GitOps workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven hands-on experience designing and operating production workloads on Microsoft Azure.

Strong proficiency with Terraform (modules, state management, remote backends, workspaces, Terraform Cloud/Enterprise knowledge is a plus).

Experience with CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps pipelines, GitHub Actions, or equivalent).

Solid understanding of networking in cloud (VNets, subnets, NSGs, route tables, load balancers, VPN/ExpressRoute).
