Azure Data Engineer

Job Title: Azure Cloud Data Engineer – Snowflake

Experience: 5–9 Years

Work Mode: Remote (1–2 Days/Month Onsite)

We are hiring an experienced Azure Cloud Data Engineer to support a major Cloud Data Modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will lead the migration of our on-premises SQL Server–based Enterprise Data Warehouse to a modern Azure and Snowflake ecosystem.

Position Overview

The role involves architecting and delivering cloud data solutions, rebuilding ETL pipelines, modernizing legacy systems, and implementing best-in-class Azure and Snowflake data processes. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and cloud teams to ensure a seamless transition to the new data platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead migration of on-premises SQL Server ETLs to Azure Cloud and Snowflake.
• Design, develop, and implement solutions using ADF, Logic Apps, ADLS Gen2, Blob Storage, and Snowflake.
• Review and analyze existing ETL processes developed using SSIS and T-SQL.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and implement DevOps practices using GitActions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration and data flow.
• Optimize, monitor, and troubleshoot data pipelines.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Data Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Azure data tools: ADF, SHIR, Logic Apps, ADLS Gen2, Blob Storage.
• Strong experience with Snowflake.
• Solid background in ETL development for on-premises environments (SSIS, T-SQL).
• Experience with Python or similar scripting language.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitActions.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies.
