Azure Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining client cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud architecture, security, and operational best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting client engagements.

Cloud Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

• Design and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Azure.
• Implement Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Functions.

Monitoring and Optimisation:

• Monitor cloud performance, ensuring optimal system operation.
• Optimise cloud resources to improve performance and reduce costs.

Automation and DevOps:

• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
• Automate deployments and workflows using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, or other scripting tools.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement robust cloud security measures as appropriate to the solution risk profile.
• Ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration and Troubleshooting:

• Work closely with developers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest Azure services and industry best practices.
• Provide recommendations to enhance existing cloud solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing Azure-based solutions.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Azure core services: Compute, Networking, Storage, and Identity Management.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Experience with DevOps tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., VPN, VNET, load balancers).

Certifications (Preferred):

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
