Azure Cloud Engineer

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Azure IaaS solutions, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and backup services.

• Monitor and maintain azure infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.

• Implement and manage Azure governance solutions, including role-based access control (RBAC) and resource policies.

• Perform regular health checks and security assessments of Azure environments, identifying and addressing potential issues.

• Collaborate with internal teams to understand and meet their infrastructure needs, providing guidance on best practices for using Azure services.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure infrastructure and services.

• Automate repetitive tasks using tools like PowerShell or Azure CLI.

• Deploy and configure Azure IaaS and PaaS services including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, and Azure SQL databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or similar certification.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform.

• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other monitoring tools.

• Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions in Azure.

• Proficiency in Azure IaaS and PaaS services.

• Strong knowledge of Azure, including experience with the Azure CLI, Azure APIs, DevOps, Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, Storage, IAM, Virtual Networks, Virtual machines, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Front Door and Entra ID.

Certifications:

Certifications are not required, but they are highly appreciated if you have,

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 2 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, with a focus on Azure.

Additional Skills:

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
