Role Overview

Azure Cloud Administrator

Key Responsibilities

Azure Infrastructure & VM Management

Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure Virtual Machines (Windows/Linux).
Monitor VM performance, availability, and optimize costs.
Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies.

Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) Support

Manage users, groups, and access controls.
Configure Conditional Access, MFA, and SSO.
Support hybrid identity with Azure AD Connect.

Azure Security Administration

Apply security best practices across Azure resources.
Manage RBAC, PIM, and Defender for Cloud alerts.
Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Azure Backup & Recovery

Configure and manage Azure Backup for VMs and workloads.
Validate backup policies and test recovery procedures.
Implement Azure Site Recovery for business continuity.

Azure Networking & Connectivity

Design and manage Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, and NSGs.
Configure VPN Gateway and ExpressRoute for hybrid connectivity.
Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues.
Implement secure access using Azure Bastion and private endpoints.
