Role Overview
We are seeking a talented AWS DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years of experience in managing AWS servers, particularly on Ubuntu, and possess expertise in automating deployment processes through CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain AWS servers hosting our company websites, ensuring high availability and performance.
Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot applications on Ubuntu servers within the AWS environment.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment of projects from GitLab to AWS servers.
Collaborate with development teams to streamline the deployment process and improve efficiency.
Monitor server health, performance, and security, and implement necessary optimizations and enhancements.
Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard data and ensure business continuity.
Stay up-to-date with AWS best practices, security updates, and industry trends to continuously improve our infrastructure.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2 to 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably with a focus on AWS.
Strong knowledge of AWS services, particularly EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, and CloudFormation.
Proficiency in Linux system administration, specifically Ubuntu.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or Travis CI.
Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
