The AVP - Scrum Master at Synchrony will be responsible for leading multiple Scrum/Kanban teams in executing development for Strategic Initiatives supporting Global Operations Initiatives & Technologies. In this role, you will collaborate with Agile team members, including the product owner, engineering teams, business stakeholders, and ART leadership to lead innovative solutions to production as per the Digital First prioritized initiatives. Key Responsibilities include leading and managing the delivery activities of multiple scrum teams in alignment with the automation strategy set by business counterparts. You will anchor and apply the Agile Manifesto, SAFe core values, Lean-Agile mindset, and SAFe principles to lead high-performing, cross-functional agile scrum/Kanban teams as the Scrum Master. Collaboration with business teams to shape requirements, ongoing communication through project execution, ensuring timely and complete documentation, and assisting the product owner in creating roadmaps are also crucial aspects of the role. As the AVP - Scrum Master, you will work with cross-functional teams to create a holistic roadmap and planning for product delivery. Being well-versed in all Scrum/SAFe ceremonies, managing Sprints effectively, ensuring timely testing and feedback, advocating for autonomous and continuously improving teams, and leading in production support prioritization are key responsibilities. Facilitating meetings with stakeholders, tracking project progress, and performing other assigned duties are also part of the role. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8+ years of overall experience or equivalent experience if lacking a degree. CSM/SAFe Certification is a must for this role. Strong skills in people/vendor management, relationship building, and knowledge of Agile methodologies are required. Effective communication, leadership, conflict resolution, critical path management, and project management experience in Contact Center Technology are essential. Experience in managing offshore resources, leading Agile teams in SAFe, and working in large banking and financial services companies are desired characteristics. The AVP - Scrum Master role at Synchrony offers Enhanced Flexibility and Choice and requires availability between 06:00 AM - 11:30 AM Eastern Time. Flexibility in work timings is provided with exceptions based on business needs.
