Role Overview

This role sits at a senior leadership level and focuses on building and strengthening retailer-led growth initiatives within the pharma retail space. The AVP Retailer Shakti will be responsible for driving strategic partnerships with retailers, improving network performance, and ensuring sustainable business expansion across assigned markets. The position requires a strong balance of field understanding, people leadership, and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and scale retailer engagement programs to improve reach, loyalty, and overall retail performance.


• Develop long-term strategies to strengthen relationships with key retailers and distribution partners.


• Monitor sales performance, market coverage, and retailer productivity, and take corrective actions where required.


• Work closely with sales, supply chain, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of retail initiatives.


• Drive adoption of new programs, schemes, and processes at the retailer level.


• Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and retailer feedback to refine strategies.


• Build, mentor, and manage regional or zonal teams, ensuring clear goals and accountability.


• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements specific to pharma retail.

Key Requirements

• 10 15 years of experience in pharma retail, sales operations, or channel management, with exposure to senior leadership roles.


• Strong understanding of retailer dynamics, distribution models, and on-ground market realities.


• Proven ability to design and execute large-scale retailer programs.


• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
