Job Description

🧑‍💼 Job Summary: The Service Advisor acts as the main point of contact between customers and the service team. They are responsible for understanding customer concerns, creating job cards, estimating costs, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring timely and quality service delivery. The goal is to provide excellent customer service and ensure vehicle maintenance or repair is handled smoothly. 🛠️ Key Responsibilities: 🔹 Customer Interaction & Service BookingGreet customers at the service center and understand their service needs Book service appointments via phone, in person, or online Create and maintain detailed Job Cards for each vehicle Advise customers on the necessary service, repairs, and maintenance 🔹 Service Estimation & ApprovalsProvide accurate cost estimates and time required for repairs Get necessary approvals from the customer before work begins Upsell value-added services (e.g., wheel alignment, engine decarbonizing) 🔹 Coordination with Workshop & TechniciansCommunicate customer issues to the workshop team clearly Monitor the progress of repairs and service jobs Ensure that promised delivery timelines are met 🔹 Quality Check & Vehicle DeliveryConduct pre-delivery quality checks with technicians Inform the customer when the vehicle is ready Explain the work done and parts replaced during delivery Ensure proper billing and documentation 🔹 Customer Satisfaction & Feedback Handle customer queries, complaints, or escalations Follow up after service to ensure satisfaction Promote periodic maintenance and loyalty programs 🧾 Required Qualifications & Skills 🎓 Education: Diploma or Degree in Automobile Engineering / Mechanical Engineering Certification in automotive service (preferred) 💼 Experience: 1–3 years of experience as a Service Advisor or in a customer-facing automobile role Experience in a dealership or authorized service center is preferred 🧠 Skills: Good knowledge of automobile parts and service procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer skills (DMS/ERP systems like Autoline, CDK, etc.) Customer service orientation and problem-solving attitude Ability to handle pressure and multitask ✅ Additional Requirements: Language skills based on the region (e.g., local language + English/Hindi) Valid driving license (preferred) Familiarity with OEM standards and service protocols 💰 Salary Range: 25k-30k
