As we onboard more clients, we add more integrations. Some existing integrations need fixing. Some APIs behave differently. Some workflows require custom logic.

That’s where you come in.

Automation & Integration Intern

• build new integrations,
• debug broken integrations,
• help users complete workflows,
• understand APIs deeply,
• and become a full-stack automation engineer over time.

🎯 About the Role

APIs, automation, problem-solving, and reverse engineering how SaaS tools work

You will:

1️⃣ Build New Integrations

• Add new SaaS tool integrations inside Canvas
• Work with REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, auth flows, and payload structures
• Test integrations end-to-end and ensure reliability

2️⃣ Fix Existing Integrations

• Debug integrations that break due to API changes
• Investigate failed workflows, incorrect responses, rate limits, etc.
• Work closely with engineering to maintain integration quality

3️⃣ Help Users Build Workflows

• Work directly with users who get stuck
• Reproduce issues, test steps, and help them make workflows live
• Suggest improvements or alternate flows

4️⃣ Understand New Tools & APIs

• Read API docs of new tools and figure out how to integrate them
• Understand auth methods (API keys, OAuth2, headers)
• Determine best integration strategy for Canvas

5️⃣ Become an Automation Expert

By the end of the internship, you will:

• Be able to build automation for any business — small or enterprise
• Become highly skilled in APIs, integrations, and automation logic
• Understand how AI copilots work and where they fall short
• Have deep expertise in the modern SaaS + API ecosystem

Automation Engineer

🛠️ Required Technical Skills (Primary)

Must-Have

• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals

• Node.js experience

  (writing API calls, handling async logic)
• Understanding of REST APIs (headers, params, payloads)
• Experience using

  fetch/axios

  and working with JSON data
• Ability to read API documentation and implement flows
• Problem-solving + debugging mindset
• Comfort using Postman, cURL, or similar tools

Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with Zapier/Make/Pipedream/n8n
• Understanding of OAuth2
• Experience working with webhooks
• Basic familiarity with Git
• Understanding of how automation tools connect apps

• 0–2 years of experience
• Someone who LOVES tinkering, solving problems, and figuring out APIs
• Curiosity about automation, SaaS tools, and AI workflows
• Strong communication skills — explaining problems clearly
