About the Role:
We re seeking a world-class Automation Engineer to join our growing global IT organization, with a mission to streamline and automate business and IT workflows across CrowdStrike. This role is at the heart of our internal automation strategy, designing and implementing solutions that eliminate manual processes, reduce operational friction, and enable scale through smart, secure automation.
As a Workflow Automation Engineer, you will build integrations between systems, automate approvals, orchestrate service delivery, and empower self-service for users transforming the CrowdStrike employee experience while improving consistency and security. You will partner across functions including IT, Security, HR, and Finance, leveraging tools such as Power Automate, ServiceNow, Python, APIs , and low-code/no-code platforms.
This is a hands-on technical role based in our Pune, India office, requiring deep problem-solving skills, a passion for automation, and a One Team, One Fight spirit.
What You ll Do:

Design and implement workflow automations to support a wide range of use cases across IT, Security, HR, Finance, and Engineering - including onboarding/offboarding, asset management, access provisioning, and ticket routing.

Build scalable automations using tools such as Power Automate, ServiceNow Workflows, custom Python scripts , REST APIs, and other integration platforms.

Streamline service delivery by eliminating manual steps, reducing handoffs, and enabling self-service through chatbots, forms, and automated approvals.

Partner with process owners to understand requirements, identify automation opportunities, and deliver solutions that are secure, maintainable, and scalable.

Improve operational efficiency and consistency by enforcing logic, validation, and standardization through automated workflows.

Ensure auditability and security in all automation designs - protecting data, managing access controls, and logging actions for traceability.

Continuously monitor and optimize automations for performance, reliability, and usage; proactively address failures or edge cases.

Document workflows, integrations, and runbooks , and evangelize best practices across teams.

Mentor and support others in automation adoption, promoting a culture of operational excellence and digital enablement across the business.
What You ll Need:
-
3-5 years of hands-on experience building enterprise-grade automations and workflows using low-code platforms (e.g., Power Automate , ServiceNow , Zapier , Workato ), scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript ), and API integration.

Solid understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, authentication (OAuth, tokens) and working with JSON/XML payloads.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex processes into automation-friendly components.

Familiarity with ITSM platforms (such as ServiceNow), ticketing systems, and enterprise SaaS ecosystems (Okta, Slack, Jira, Zoom, etc.).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.

Bonus Points:

Experience in DevOps or Infrastructure-as-Code environments using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

Knowledge of identity lifecycle automation (Joiner-Mover-Leaver flows) and access management tools.

Experience building custom integrations between disparate systems via APIs or messaging buses (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub).

Previous work with workflow governance, CI/CD pipelines for automation code , or building reusable automation libraries.

Exposure to AI/ML-powered automation , chatbots (e.g., Microsoft Bot Framework), or predictive analytics in workflow design.

Certifications in Power Platform, ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, or similar credentials.
