Automation Engineer, Contract

12 months remote assignment

40-45 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks that are modular, reusable, and efficient.
• Identify test scenarios and create comprehensive test plans for web applications.
• Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, and report defects effectively.
• Integrate automation scripts with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Work with SQL databases to validate data integrity and perform necessary test data setup.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand application requirements and provide feedback on design and usability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts and test environments.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in test automation.
• Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
• Document automation frameworks, test scripts, and test results clearly and concisely
  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience 6+ years as an Automation Engineer, with a strong focus on web application testing.
• Solid proficiency in Java programming language.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for automating web applications.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience working with SQL databases and writing SQL queries for data validation.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and their integration with automation frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
