Job Description

About the Role

Audio Hardware Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and validate

    analog and digital audio circuits

    (microphone arrays, speaker drivers, amplifiers, codecs).
  • Work on

    schematic design, PCB layout reviews, and hardware bring-up

    .
  • Optimize audio quality — signal integrity, noise reduction, echo cancellation, distortion control.
  • Evaluate and select audio components (MEMS mics, DACs/ADCs, amplifiers, etc.) based on performance, cost, and power efficiency.
  • Own the

    hardware validation and test plan

    using Audio Precision, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.
  • Collaborate with

    manufacturing partners

    to resolve hardware issues during prototyping and mass production.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in

    Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field

    .
  • 5+ years of

    hands-on audio hardware design & development

    .
  • Proven experience in

    audio signal path design

    (analog + digital).
  • Proficiency with

    schematic capture & PCB layout tools

    (Altium Designer, Cadence, etc.).
  • Experience in

    electroacoustic testing, tuning & validation

    .
  • Strong knowledge of

    audio performance metrics

    (THD+N, SNR, latency).
  • Familiarity with

    low-noise analog design, EMI/EMC mitigation

    .
  • Experience with

    consumer electronics, wearables, or AR/VR products

    is a strong plus.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Experience with

    beamforming, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Echo Cancellation (AEC)

    .
  • Understanding of

    Bluetooth audio standards (A2DP, BLE Audio)

    .
  • Familiarity with

    voice assistants & wake-word detection

    .
  • Experience collaborating with

    DSP and algorithm teams

    .
