Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations:

    Manage daily workflow, implement strategies for improvement, maintain standards, and ensure smooth functioning.
  • Staff Supervision:

    Lead, train, mentor, and evaluate team members; handle scheduling, delegate tasks, and resolve internal conflicts.
  • Customer Service:

    Address escalated customer issues, build relationships, and ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Administration:

    Prepare reports, manage budgets/expenses, handle inventory, and ensure compliance.
  • Management Support:

    Act as the manager's right hand, fill in during absences, and implement senior directives.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with business software.
  • Experience in supervision, performance management, or customer service.
  • A degree in Business Administration or a related field is often preferred.

  • Acquisition & Development:

    Identifying potential land, conducting feasibility studies, securing permits, managing budgets, overseeing construction, and liaising with government bodies.
  • Property Management:

    Arranging upkeep (roads, drainage), managing tenants (rent, leases, complaints), ensuring property standards, and handling financial records/taxes.
  • Business Operations:

    Managing farms, forestry, heritage sites, or leisure businesses on the land; planning income-generating developments.
  • Legal & Compliance:

    Staying updated on environmental/agricultural laws, ensuring zoning compliance, resolving disputes, preparing reports, and managing legal documentation.
  • Team & Stakeholder Management:

    Recruiting/training staff, managing contractors, negotiating with owners/agents, and building community/government relationships.

  • Developing and implementing project strategies.
  • Monitoring wildlife, habitats, and natural restoration.
  • Marketing properties and negotiating terms.

  • Land Acquisition Manager:

    Focuses on buying, selling, and assessing land for purchase.
  • Land Development Manager:

    Oversees construction projects on acquired land.
  • Conservation Land Manager:

    Manages natural areas, focusing on habitat and visitor experience.
  • Rural/Estate Manager:

    Manages large estates with farms, forestry, or heritage.
