As an Assistant Manager - Engineering & Facilities at JW Marriott Hotel Pune, your role involves assisting in the management of all engineering and maintenance operations with a focus on safety, security, and asset protection. You will be responsible for managing the physical plant, ensuring regulatory compliance, controlling energy consumption, and overseeing preventative maintenance activities. Your contribution will be crucial in leading the emergency response team for facility issues. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist in managing the physical plant including equipment, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. - Ensure compliance with facility regulations and safety standards. - Control heat, light, and power usage for energy conservation. - Develop specifications for service contracts and oversee their administration. - Monitor and distribute preventive maintenance and repair work orders. - Oversee maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public spaces, and recreational facilities. - Develop long-term plans for preventative maintenance and asset protection. - Coordinate with contractors for timely completion of projects within budget. - Build positive relationships with external stakeholders and vendors. - Conduct property inspections to maintain excellent condition of buildings and grounds. - Evaluate facilities" physical condition and recommend necessary work. - Manage inventory of parts and equipment. **Qualifications Required:** - High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in engineering and maintenance. - Technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing. - OR 2-year degree in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major.
