Associate Vice President - Cargo Product Development

About the Role

The role involves leading the creation and implementation of innovative products and services that enhance Air India Cargo's offerings, driving the end-to-end product development process from concept through to market launch.

Responsibilities

Product Development Strategy:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for new product and service development, including market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for innovation within the cargo sector.

Vendor Management:

• Oversee vendor relationships to ensure high-quality, cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
• Negotiate contracts to secure advantageous terms and maintain high standards of product quality.

Cross-functional Coordination:

• Collaborate with internal teams, including Commercial, In-flight Services, and Customer Experience, to ensure product offerings are integrated and optimised across all customer touchpoints.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor a team dedicated to product development, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in operations, Business Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Experience

15+ years’ experience in the aviation industry with at least 5+ years of extensive experience in leading product development initiatives, preferably within the cargo or commercial sectors.
