SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer with 0 to 1 year experience in AWS cloud services, infrastructure automation, and container orchestration. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on knowledge in deploying, managing, and automating secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to support and implement robust cloud-native solutions.Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS.Design and implement scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.Develop containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).Support CI/CD pipeline implementation and promote cloud security best practices.Monitor system performance, availability, and security using tools like AWS CloudWatch.Manage and maintain Domains (DNS), including registration, transfers and configurations.Collaborate with senior AWS engineers, IT teams, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and design cloud solutionsEnsure adherence to customer SLAs and proactively manage communication in the event of issues or outages.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Provision and manage infrastructure on AWS, including services such as EC2, Auto Scaling, ALB, RDS, S3, CloudFront, WAF, Global Accelerator, VPC, Secrets Manager, Cognito, Lambda, SQS, SES, ElasticSearch, AWS Organization and other monitoring services.Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.Deploy and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (preferably EKS).Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines or AWS CodePipeline.Work with the security team to apply cloud security best practices.Monitor and troubleshoot applications and infrastructure using monitoring tools and logs.Manage domain purchases, renewals, transfers, and DNS configurations.Participate in the implementation of Disaster Recovery (DR) processes.Perform day-to-day operations of cloud infrastructure and container platforms using Linux administration skills.Windows IIS knowledge is a plus and will be considered an added advantage.Configure, manage, and maintain backup, monitoring, and alerting systems.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for AWS infrastructure, configurations, and operational procedures.Deliver high-quality work within an Agile environment.Perform basic administration of SQL servers.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
0 to 2 years of experienceStrong experience in cloud deployments, Terraform, or CI/CD pipeline management.Experience with containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.Sound understanding of system design and architecture.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.Experience with Linux is essential.Exposure to Windows IIS and Disaster Recovery planning is advantage.AWS Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
