Job Description

Role Overview: As the Power Systems Engineering Supervisor at AspenTech, you will lead a team of passionate power systems engineers dedicated to bulk power transmission and distribution management systems. Your role will involve working closely with global utility customers to configure, model, and implement complex real-time power system control solutions using AspenTech OSI's Monarch platform. This position requires a combination of deep power systems knowledge, customer interaction, and hands-on system integration. Key Responsibilities: - Design, plan, integrate, test, and commission hardware and software requirements on customer systems. - Provide technical sales support for state-of-the-art power systems applications, including sales presentations and product demonstrations. - Collaborate with customers to define requirements for advanced control systems for utilities such as Energy Management Systems (EMS), Generation Management Systems (GMS), Distributed Energy Resources Management Systems (DERMS), and Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS). - Lead troubleshooting efforts for identified variances and implement timely resolutions. - Define project requirements through effective customer communication and coordinate with other departments as needed. - Manage and assign tasks to engineering and technical personnel. - Lead teams in developing new solutions and processes. - Oversee project logistics and resource allocation. - Assist in developing training materials and project documentation as required. Qualifications Required: - Masters or Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum 4 years of experience in power systems, electric utility operations/dispatch, or real-time control systems. - Experience in delivering complex software projects while managing customer expectations. - Proficiency in network modeling and offline simulation tools such as PSSE, PowerFactory, Etap, or similar. - Familiarity with electrical utility control systems (SCADA, EMS, GMS, ADMS, OMS, DERMS) or utility operations/engineering support. - Scripting knowledge in Python, JSON, or similar languages, with a willingness to further develop scripting skills. - Experience with geo-spatial processing software (GIS) for building tools and models for electrical networks is preferred. - Knowledge of databases and data structures (SQL, XML, Mongo, GIS). - Industry experience in at least one of ADMS, OMS, EMS, or GMS. - Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills. - Proficient in personnel and project management. - Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills. - Ability to multitask on several projects in a fast-paced environment. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Willingness and flexibility to travel to customer sites.,
