Associate Manager, Power Systems Engineering

As the Power Systems Engineering Supervisor at AspenTech, you will lead a team of passionate power systems engineers focused on bulk power transmission and distribution management systems. Your role involves working closely with global utility customers to configure, model, and implement complex real-time power system control solutions using AspenTech OSIs Monarch platform. Your impact will include designing, planning, integrating, testing, and commissioning hardware and software requirements on customer systems. You will also provide technical sales support and define requirements for advanced control systems for utilities. Key Responsibilities: - Design, plan, integrate, test, and commission hardware and software requirements on customer systems. - Provide technical sales support for power systems applications, including sales presentations and product demonstrations. - Define project requirements through customer communication and lead project efforts for installation, integration, and testing. - Manage staff, assign tasks, and lead teams in the development of new solutions and processes. - Oversee project logistics, resource allocation, and troubleshoot variances discovered during project execution. - Assist in creating training materials and project documentation as needed. Qualifications Required: - Masters / Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field. - 4+ years of experience in power systems or electric utility operations/dispatch. - Experience with complex software projects, network modeling, and offline simulation tools. - Knowledge of electrical utility control systems and scripting languages like Python or JSON. - Experience with geo-spatial processing software and databases. - Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and travel to customer sites.
