Associate Manager II - Taxation

About the Team

The Taxation team at Navi is responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s tax obligations, ensuring compliance. The team works on tax planning, reporting, and strategy, helping the organization optimize tax efficiency while mitigating risks.

About the Role

This role offers an opportunity to take ownership of diverse responsibilities including working on tax projects, closing out compliances, audits to strategic tax optimization which have a direct impact on business. You'll be a key player, providing technical support, dealing with tax authorities, and liaising with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

● Support in various tax projects undertaken by the Tax Team

● Identifying tax optimization opportunities and tax risks in the Group

● Regular updates to Management and Business on various direct and indirect tax updates impacting business

● Dealing with tax authorities and liaising with counsels

● Coordinate/ Project Management with key stakeholders on tax projects

● Coordinating with external consultants

● Technical support and undertaking detailed research on complex tax issues

● Undertake tax compliances (TDS, GST, Corporate tax return and tax audits) for the Group

Must Haves

● CA with 3-4 years of experience in consulting/ industry

● Expert knowledge and understanding of both direct and indirect taxes

● Experience in dealing with Tax officers

● Experience in direct and indirect tax compliances

● International tax experience desirable (though not mandatory)

● Good knowledge of accounting standards and Ind AS

● Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for articulating.

● Strong problem solving

● A self starter and proactive individual who can interact with various stakeholders and influence people with no reporting relationship
