The Impact you will have in this role:
The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems. Your Primary Responsibilities:
Support the coaching, mentoring and development of team membersManage the day-to-day activities of the team and specific business applications (including technical designs) across multiple locationsManage the software development processEstimate total costs for modules/projects covering both hours and expenseEnsure success criteria is met from design through deployment via cost-effectiveness, data integrity and reuseSupport total delivery and a risk management mindset by anticipating and solving problemsSupport an environment to ensure employees understand how their efforts contribute to overall business strategyCollaborate with business partners and Business Architecture to drive innovation and re-imagine capabilitiesEmbed a risk management mindset of resiliency, security, and controls into applicationsManage technical processes and designs considering non-functional requirementsMitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of related experienceBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
