Job Description

Role Overview: As an Associate Director, Procurement Media Category at Bristol Myers Squibb, you will be responsible for developing a robust global category strategy aligned with dynamic business outcomes. Your role will involve defining buying channels, managing supplier relationships, and continuously assessing the marketplace for strategic category innovation. You will engage closely with senior business partners in the Worldwide Commercialization Excellence organization to understand strategic business objectives, develop a fit-for-purpose category strategy, and drive business outcomes. Additionally, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior Commercialization stakeholders and coordinate with Procurement and Business Partners to ensure holistic support. Key Responsibilities: - Develop a global category strategy aligned with business needs and deliver financial value - Capture business plans and budgets to ensure category strategies support business outcomes - Leverage external supplier marketplace knowledge to curate supplier solutions aligned with business needs - Coordinate with Procurement team and internal partners to define buying channels and policies - Lead major category initiatives within a multi-year plan to drive financial efficiencies - Drive supplier relationship management processes, metrics development, and supplier performance - Continuously develop category and procurement knowledge through self-development and market research - Foster internal and external innovation to solve key business problems - Coordinate with other Procurement organizations to enable procurement reporting mechanisms and digital strategies Qualifications Required: Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree - 8-10 years of business experience - 5-7 years of multi-disciplined procurement experience in a multinational environment - 2-3 years of Media Procurement experience - Experience leading global teams and managing senior professionals - Expertise in stakeholder management, category management, process redesign, and project management Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree - Professional certifications (e.g., CPM, CPIM) - 3+ years of Pharmaceutical Procurement experience - Membership in Professional Associations (e.g., ISM) If you find a role that interests you but doesn't align perfectly with your resume, Bristol Myers Squibb encourages you to apply anyway, as you could be one step away from work that will transform your life and career.,
