The Associate Director (AD) of Data Research conducts research and creates analytics to provide insights on economic, real estate, and financial trends. This role enhances the understanding and clarity of a complex economic environment through research and originates value-added analytics that are beneficial to Trimont and its clients. The role supports the aims of Trimonts Research Group to provide industry participants with greater ability to make data driven decisions. The AD will be instrumental in identifying the health and risk associated with national and local economic drivers.
They will use technology to identify, organize and evaluate raw data to develop insightful quantitative and qualitative analytics. They deliver insights on economic, real estate, and finance topics by developing models, visual content, and analytical tools for internal and external use. Responsibilities include managing internal databases, producing real-time risk and market analyses, and creating economic forecasts. In addition, the communication of ideas and research is critical. The AD will develop, organize, and deliver presentations, written materials, webinars, and podcasts. The Associate Director may mentor team members, oversee processes and ensure quality by reviewing work products for analytical outputs and communications.
Responsibilities:
- Provide verbal and written insights into economic, real estate, and finance topics through data analysis, model building, and visual content creation.
- Develop content for both internal and external audiences (e.g., website, presentations).
- Identify, organize, and evaluate raw data to develop quantitative and qualitative analytics; and other analytical tools as needed.
- Create tools and models using internal and external data to deliver real-time insights on risk, market, and lending conditions.
- Organize, develop, and monitor internal databases to support management and enhance company reputation.
- Develop economic forecasts, statistical analyses, and risk-based presentations focused on clear, data-supported conclusions.
- Provide insights into economics, commercial real estate, banking, and financial health across national and local markets.
- Write and review local economic and real estate market analyses that provide insights into the health and risk of market economic activity.
- Contribute to building the companys reputation through various communication platforms, including podcasts, webinars, written materials, and presentations.
- Mentor and oversee team members as requested, providing guidance to enhance analytical skills.
- Ensure quality through review of analytical tools, presentations, and written materials.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required in Economics, Business, Real Estate, Finance or Data Research.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in commercial real estate (CRE), CRE finance and/or CRE research.
- Experience with national and local economic conditions, real estate, lending, financial institutions and risk identification.
- A passion for economics, real estate, finance and the pursuit of excellence.
