Assitant Manager - Audit

Role & responsibilities

• Plan and perform operational and financial audits.
• Identify business process risks and evaluate internal control system
• Ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct financial due diligence for potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions.
• Manage post-funding financial compliance and reporting requirements.
• Analyze financial statements, cash flows, working capital, and key financial metrics to assess business health.
• Identify financial risks, quality of earnings, and potential red flags in financial reports.
• Work closely with legal, tax, and operational teams to ensure comprehensive deal assessment.
• Assist in valuation exercises by analyzing historical and projected financial performance.
• Monitor adherence to tax, legal, and financial compliance post-funding.
• Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes impacting transactions.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5 years of post-qualification, accounting or auditing experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), IFRS, Accounting and Auditing standards, guidelines and Policies.
• Strong background and experience with audit methodologies and techniques.
• Strong expertise in Financial Due Diligence, accounting, compliance, and financial analysis.
• Experience in real estate, investment banking, private equity, or consulting is preferred.
• Proficiency in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
