As an Assistant Vice President- Operational Resilience in HSBC, your role is crucial in ensuring that appropriate controls are implemented and monitored within Wholesale Banking to operate within agreed business risk appetite and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities include: - Proactively identifying and overseeing financial and non-financial risks related to Wholesale Banking IBS and promoting a balanced risk culture - Supporting compliance of Resilience Risk Management initiatives across HBEU BSOs within WSB - Working closely with Regional/Country stakeholders to protect customer and employee data and ensure compliance with Global Regulations - Operating effectively across a matrix organization and engaging with various stakeholders for product governance framework support - Maintaining and observing HSBC internal control standards and implementing non-financial risk framework requirements To excel in this role, you are required to have: - Relevant product knowledge and background in Risk Management - Experience in Wholesale business environment and operational resilience - Good understanding of operational risk and controls, preferably in Commercial Banking - Knowledge of the Operational Risk Framework and changing regulatory environment in financial services sector - Leadership, management, coaching, and problem-solving skills - Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills - Constantly seeking ways to improve processes and implement change successfully - Ability to build effective networks and relationships across business areas - Solid written and spoken communication skills to articulate complex information effectively to varied audiences At HSBC, you will play a critical role in the future of banking and financial services globally.
