Job Title: Assistant Technician – Eicher Commercial Vehicles

Department: Service / Workshop

Reports To: Service Manager / Workshop Supervisor

Location: Nagercoil, therekalputhoor, Akshaya Garden ,Opp to Manuvel hospital

Job Purpose

To assist senior technicians in carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of Eicher commercial vehicles, ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in diagnosis, repair, and servicing of Eicher commercial vehicles (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical, etc.).
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and tire rotation.
• Perform basic troubleshooting using tools and diagnostic equipment under supervision.
• Support in vehicle inspection, road tests, and quality checks after repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of workshop, tools, and equipment.
• Record job details, parts used, and work completed in job cards.
• Follow company safety guidelines, service standards, and Eicher’s technical protocols.
• Assist in keeping spare parts organized and updating stock requirements when necessary.
• Provide feedback to supervisors regarding vehicle condition and additional repair needs.

Skills & Competencies

• Basic knowledge of automobile systems (diesel engine, mechanical, and electrical).
• Willingness to learn advanced repair and diagnostic techniques.
• Ability to use hand tools, lifting equipment, and basic diagnostic tools.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Qualification & Experience

• Education: ITI / Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical, or related trade (preferred).
• Experience: 0–2 years in commercial vehicle service/repair (freshers can apply).
• Training or exposure to Eicher vehicles will be an added advantage.

Successful candidates may be promoted to Technician / Senior Technician based on performance, skills, and training certifications.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
