Assistant Store Manager

Role & responsibilities:

1. Store Operations

• Assist the Store Manager in day-to-day operations of the store.
  
• Ensure store opening and closing procedures are followed.
  
• Maintain cleanliness, visual merchandising standards, and stock display.
  
• Monitor store equipment, safety protocols, and facility maintenance.
  

2. Inventory & Stock Management

• Oversee stock receiving, storage, and issuance.
  
• Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts.
  
• Manage stock discrepancies and coordinate with inventory/warehouse teams.
  
• Ensure optimum stock levels to avoid shortages or excess.
  

3. Sales & Customer Service

• Support achievement of sales targets and KPIs.
  
• Assist customers, handle queries, and resolve complaints promptly.
  
• Monitor customer service quality delivered by staff.
  
• Implement sales promotions and marketing activities in-store.
  

4. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily/weekly sales, stock, and operational reports.
  
• Monitor cash handling, billing accuracy, and POS operations.
  
• Support audits and compliance checks.
  

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred).
  
• 24 years of experience in retail operations or store management.
  
• Strong knowledge of inventory processes and POS systems.
  
• Good leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  
• Strong problem-solving and team-handling capability.
  
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
