Assistant Sales Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales - Assistant Manager to expand our footprint in the Indian market for sawn timber and plywood . This role requires a sales professional with strong industry connections, product knowledge, and the ability to independently manage client relationships and drive revenue growth. Key Responsibilities: Identify and develop new business opportunities in sawn timber and plywood segments Manage and grow relationships with distributors, dealers, and key accounts Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategy Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets Coordinate with internal supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries Participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, and client meetings as needed Desired Profile: 4–5 years of B2B/B2C sales experience in timber, plywood, or allied building materials Strong understanding of timber products, especially in South and North India markets Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills Self-motivated with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets Ability to travel across regions as per business needs Preferred Qualification: Graduate from the Forest Research Institute (FRI) or related academic background in forestry/wood sciences will be a strong plus
