Assistant Project Manager

The position is responsible for the overall development of all Bureau Veritas (BV) services in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) within the power business sector. You will be expected to adhere to the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy. Your main responsibilities will include assigning Surveyors to different jobs based on job requirements and matching competencies, effectively utilizing Surveyors, maintaining a competency matrix for Surveyors, monitoring Surveyors and Contracts in accordance with BV Procedures, identifying training needs and organizing training for Surveyors, planning resources required, assisting the Head of Industry in overall resource planning, ensuring timely invoicing and collection of receivables, managing complaints related to BV services, reporting any client dissatisfaction or complaints, and supporting the Head of Industry in the growth of the industrial business. Your performance will be evaluated based on your ability to deliver as per contract and client expectations, as well as your capacity to build and manage a team of external consultants/sub-contractors. To qualify for this position, you should hold an Engineering Graduate degree with project management skills and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. A management degree is advantageous but not mandatory, while knowledge of QA/QC/QMS is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be a task master by nature, capable of managing a team, exhibit strong leadership abilities, have a pleasing personality, possess good communication and presentation skills, be proficient in MS Office, and be a self-starter.,
