Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, located in Jabalpur. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for delivering lectures, conducting laboratory sessions, guiding projects, preparing lesson plans, and developing course materials. The role also includes mentoring students, designing and evaluating assessments, engaging in academic research, and contributing to departmental activities such as curriculum development and faculty meetings. Participation in campus events and continuous professional development is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong subject matter knowledge in Mechanical Engineering, including core concepts and specialized topics
• Experience or ability in teaching, student mentoring, and preparing instructional materials
• Proficiency in conducting research, report writing, and publishing papers in recognized journals
• Effective communication, presentation, and teamwork skills
• Adaptability to emerging mechanical engineering technologies and methods
• Minimum of a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; a Ph.D. or progress toward a Ph.D. is highly desirable
• Previous teaching or industry experience will be considered an advantage
