Assistant Professor - Logistics & Operations

• Conduct rigorous and engaging lectures, labs, and case study discussions for MBA students in core management and specialized Operations and Logistics courses.

• Specialized Subjects include (but are not limited to):

  Supply Chain Management (SCM), Production Planning and Control (PPC), Total Quality Management (TQM), Lean & Six Sigma, Warehouse Management, Logistics Network Design, Inventory Management, and Operations Research applications.
• Develop and update course curriculum and teaching materials to reflect current industry best practices, technological advancements (e.g., Industry 4.0, WMS/TMS), and AICTE/University standards.
• Guide and mentor students on industry projects, dissertations, and internships in Operations and SCM.
• Use

  Simulation Software

  and modern pedagogical tools to enhance student learning.

2. Research and Innovation

• Engage actively in high-quality research with a focus on areas like

  Supply Chain Resilience, Sustainable Logistics, Optimization Techniques, or Operations Strategy

  .
• Publish research papers in

  reputed refereed journals

  (UGC-CARE/Scopus/Web of Science).
• Undertake consultancy projects for manufacturing or logistics firms and secure external research grants.

3. Institutional & Industry Engagement

• Establish strong ties with manufacturing hubs and logistics companies

  for student internships, placements, and collaborative projects.
• Organize industrial visits, guest lectures, and certifications in areas like APICS, Six Sigma, or Lean Management.
• Contribute to departmental and institutional administration, accreditation processes (NBA/NAAC), and student counseling.
• Participate actively in

  Faculty Development Programs (FDPs)

  .

Eligibility Criteria (As per AICTE Regulations for Management)

• Bachelor's Degree

  in any discipline.

  AND

• Master's Degree

  in

  Business Administration (MBA)

  /

  PGDM

  / M.Com. / C.A. / ICWA, or an equivalent post-graduate degree in a relevant management discipline, with

  First Class

  or equivalent (minimum 60% if class/division is not awarded) at the Master's level.
• Note: The Master's Degree specialization must be in

  Operations Management, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Production Management, or Industrial Engineering/Management

  from a recognized institution.

2. Professional Experience

• Minimum of

  two (2) years of professional experience

  after acquiring the degree of Master's degree.
• Note: Professional experience can be in teaching, research, industry, or profession.

  Preference will be given to candidates with professional experience

  in a core Operations, Logistics, SCM, or Manufacturing function.

3. Ph.D. / NET (Highly Desirable)

• Ph.D. Degree

  in Operations Management, SCM, or Industrial Engineering is

  highly desirable

  and is necessary for long-term career growth.

• NET/SET

  qualification is desirable, especially for candidates without a Ph.D.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Strong working knowledge of

  ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)

  related to Operations and SCM.
• Proficiency in

  Operations Research (OR) tools

  and analytical techniques.
• Certifications in TQM, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), or Lean Management are highly preferred.
• Excellent presentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
