Assistant Professor - Business Analytics

Position:

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct rigorous and engaging lectures, labs, and workshops for MBA students in core management subjects and specialized

  Business Analytics

  courses.

• Specialized Subjects include (but are not limited to):

  Data Mining and Warehousing, Predictive Modeling, Machine Learning for Business, Data Visualization, Big Data Technologies, Marketing/Financial/HR Analytics, and use of relevant tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau, SQL).
• Develop and update curriculum and course materials to reflect the latest industry trends and analytical tools, maintaining AICTE and University standards.
• Supervise student projects, dissertations, and internships in the Business Analytics domain.
• Provide academic counseling and career guidance to students.

2. Research and Innovation

• Engage actively in high-quality research and secure publications in

  reputed refereed journals

  (e.g., UGC-CARE, Scopus, Web of Science) focusing on the application of analytics in business.
• Undertake consultancy projects for industry and pursue research grants.
• Present research findings at national and international conferences.

3. Institutional & Industry Engagement

• Build and maintain a strong

  Academic-Industry Interface

  by organizing guest sessions, workshops, and certifications relevant to Data Science and Business Analytics.
• Contribute to administrative roles, including admissions, examinations, and departmental committees.
• Participate in

  Faculty Development Programs (FDPs)

  to stay current with analytical tools and teaching methodologies.

Eligibility Criteria (As per AICTE Regulations for Management)

• Bachelor's Degree

  in any discipline.

  AND

• Master's Degree

  in

  Business Administration (MBA)

  /

  PGDM

  / M.Com. / C.A. / ICWA, or an equivalent post-graduate degree in a relevant management discipline, with

  First Class

  or equivalent (minimum 60% if class/division is not awarded) at the Master's level.

• Note

  : The Master's Degree specialization must be in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Data Science, Quantitative Techniques, or have significant course work in the domain.

2. Professional Experience

• Minimum of

  two (2) years of professional experience

  after acquiring the degree of Master's degree.
• Note: Professional experience can be in teaching, research, industry, or profession. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience in a Data Analytics or Business Intelligence role.

3. Ph.D. / NET (Highly Desirable)

• Ph.D. Degree

  in the relevant/allied Management or Quantitative discipline (especially focused on Business Analytics) is

  highly desirable

  .

• NET/SET

  qualification is desirable.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Proficiency in at least two analytical tools/languages:

  R, Python, SQL, SAS, or similar.
• Expertise in using

  Business Intelligence (BI)

  and

  Data Visualization

  tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong theoretical knowledge of Statistical Methods, Econometrics, and Machine Learning algorithms.
• Excellent pedagogical, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
