About the Company

The Electrical Engineering Department at MANET, MIT ADT University, is committed to providing high-quality education and fostering research in various domains of electrical engineering. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced academic to join our faculty and contribute to our teaching, research, and institutional development goals.


About the Role

The Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, conducting research, mentoring students, and engaging in departmental and institutional service activities.


Responsibilities

Teaching and Student Mentoring

  • Deliver effective lectures, conduct tutorials, and manage laboratory sessions for various subjects in the Electrical Engineering curriculum (e.g., Power Systems, Electrical Machines, Control Systems, Power Electronics).
  • Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and teaching methodologies.
  • Guide and supervise student projects (UG/PG), dissertations, and academic assignments.
  • Evaluate student performance using appropriate assessment methods.


Research and Development

  • Undertake and lead research projects in specialized areas of Electrical Engineering.
  • Publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and present at national/international conferences.
  • Actively seek and secure external research funding and grants.
  • Mentor research scholars and build a strong research culture within the department.


Institutional and Departmental Service

  • Participate in departmental activities such as curriculum development, accreditation processes, and administrative duties.
  • Act as a faculty advisor, providing guidance and support to students.
  • Contribute to the organization of seminars, workshops, conferences, and outreach programs.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training activities.


Qualifications

Education (Mandatory)

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (from a recognized university/institution)

Academic Degree

  • M.Sc. / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering (First Class or equivalent at the Bachelor’s and Master’s level)

Teaching Experience (Mandatory)

  • Minimum 3 years of post-Ph.D. or post-M.Tech. experience in teaching/research/industry.


National Eligibility

  • NET / SET qualification is preferable.


Required Skills

  • Proven track record of research publications and grants.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, PSCAD, ETAP).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A commitment to academic excellence and student success.
