Job Description

Role Overview: As an Assistant Production Merchandiser at Saku, located in Sector 37, Gurugram, you will play a crucial role in managing product development, merchandising, sourcing, supplier management, and logistics coordination. Your responsibilities will include coordinating in-house production as well as working with outsourced job workers and CMT / FOB vendor partners to ensure timely and high-quality production. Key Responsibilities: - Managing product development from material sourcing to supplier negotiations and production, ensuring the construction, fit, drape, and wash of samples meet quality standards - Coordinating with raw material suppliers, job workers, and internal/external production teams for on-time delivery - Developing and maintaining relationships with partners and vendors such as fabric mills, traders, job workers, and garment manufacturers - Evaluating pre-development samples and monitoring product performance for fit, construction, and durability - Negotiating with suppliers to achieve the best costing without compromising quality or timelines - Creating bill of materials for bulk orders, aligning sourcing of raw materials, and planning production resources for smooth production flows - Tracking production progress by visiting job workers and factories regularly - Coordinating with various teams and maintaining detailed logs for fabric, trims, accessories, sampling, production status, and more - Updating production files, maintaining a library of swatches and specifications, and keeping master sheets for the website updated - Utilizing ERP software to track and update production details effectively Qualifications: - 1-2 years of experience in product development, buying, merchandising, and production within buying houses, retail brands, or export houses - Direct experience with in-house production teams is a plus - Familiarity with bulk and custom production runs and startups is advantageous - Excellent knowledge of fabrics, trims, accessories, and factory supplier base - Strong communication, relationship building, and organization skills - Experience with ERP software and a degree in textile/apparel technology or fashion technology is preferred Role Overview: As an Assistant Production Merchandiser at Saku, located in Sector 37, Gurugram, you will play a crucial role in managing product development, merchandising, sourcing, supplier management, and logistics coordination.
