Assistant Procurement Manager

Who are we looking for?

A procurement specialist with comprehensive expertise in spices and allied commodities. This role necessitates industry-specific knowledge in procurement and sourcing and good financial acumen.

Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and ERP systems

General Responsibilities:

• Purchase Order Generation: Generate purchase orders in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Shipment Follow-ups: Track and follow up on shipments to ensure on-time arrival of raw materials, resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
• Monitor supplier performance, compliance,  and Pricing.
• Analyze market trends to anticipate price movements, conduct crop reviews and populate market reports.
• Focus on process optimization and administer competitive practices in line with the industry.
• Work closely with internal teams to align on common goals.
• Develop SOPs and redefine KRA-KPIs of the team wherever necessary.
• Integrate responsible sourcing practices in accordance with organizational commitment.
• Supplier Communication: Communicate effectively with suppliers, negotiating prices, delivery terms, and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, identifying opportunities to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the company's Business Plan.
• Build and sustain a supplier network that ensures cost-efficiency, quality, sustainability, and supply security.
• Evaluate current suppliers, generate new and prospective leads for meaningful long-term partnerships.
