Assistant Procurement Manager

Who are we looking for? A procurement specialist with comprehensive expertise in spices and allied commodities. This role necessitates industry-specific knowledge in procurement and sourcing and good financial acumen. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and ERP systems General Responsibilities: Purchase Order Generation: Generate purchase orders in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation. Shipment Follow-ups: Track and follow up on shipments to ensure on-time arrival of raw materials, resolving any issues or delays that may arise. Monitor supplier performance, compliance, and Pricing. Analyze market trends to anticipate price movements, conduct crop reviews and populate market reports. Focus on process optimization and administer competitive practices in line with the industry. Work closely with internal teams to align on common goals. Develop SOPs and redefine KRA-KPIs of the team wherever necessary. Integrate responsible sourcing practices in accordance with organizational commitment. Supplier Communication: Communicate effectively with suppliers, negotiating prices, delivery terms, and resolving any issues that may arise. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, identifying opportunities to optimize stock levels and minimize waste. Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the company's Business Plan. Build and sustain a supplier network that ensures cost-efficiency, quality, sustainability, and supply security. Evaluate current suppliers, generate new and prospective leads for meaningful long-term partnerships.
