Assistant Manager/Manager-Financial Aid and Fees

Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing the financial aid process for students, including guiding them through applications, verifying financial documents, providing reports on financial aid applications, and engaging with students and parents to offer guidance on scholarships and admissions experience. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the entire financial aid process by guiding students through applications, deadlines, and documentation - Verify the accuracy and consistency of information provided on financial aid forms and legal documents - Provide timely and accurate data, reports, and insights on financial aid applications for management review - Contribute to student recruitment, retention, and success initiatives at campus and school levels - Counsel students and parents on matching scholarships to student qualifications and foster a positive admissions experience - Communicate tactfully, exercise empathy and compassion, and diffuse tense situations when dealing with sensitive information - Apply a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion lens to all aspects of your work Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field - 5+ years of overall experience required, with 12 years in financial aid preferred - Experience in student-facing roles is an advantage - Excellent organization, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work independently with good problem-solving skills - Working knowledge of standard office software, including Microsoft Office - High attention to detail and strong analysis skills - Strong customer service skills and passion for inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity, and accessibility - Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to supporting project requirements,
