Position: Assistant Manager Taxation

Location: Bavdhan, Pune

Education Required: CA Semi qualified/ CA Inter

Department: Accounts/Finance

Job Type: Full-time

1. Job Purpose

Manage tax related queries (Internal audit) from various internal and external departments/ stakeholders.

2. Key Accountability

Strategic

  • Support in planning & executing strategies
  • To file the various tax returns within the time limit as prescribed under the different taxation

Operational

  • Manage tax queries (TDS, internal audit, statutory audit) from various departments within the company and outside stakeholders as well.
  • Coordinating with the teams internally, collating relevant data for filing before the authorities or income tax return or complying with regulations by forwarding timely submissions and information required by assessing officer.
  • Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes.
  • Keep track of changes/ amendment in tax matters, updating the team on changes and new case laws.
  • Keep update for the change in industry practice and implement the same within the organisation to reduce/minimize the tax burden
  • Ensure all the entries related to TDS, GST, PF, PT are made on timely basis.
  • To Check Sales/ Purchase/Advance Invoices before filing TDS, GST Returns and get it corrected in the system
  • Reconciliation of Ledgers with GST Returns on monthly basis and pass various settlement entries in system.
  • Ensure all the rules & regulation related to various tax matters are duly implemented.
  • Brief knowledge of E- invoicing.
  • Ensure various taxation related payments are made accurately and on timely basis rules and regulations.
  • To issue/collect TDS certificate on timely basis.
  • To coordinate with tax consultants and to ensure to resolve the queries raised by them.
  • Guide the organization in management of its different tax liabilities creatively to ensure that the organizations finances are accurately reported, and taxes optimized.
  • Continuously monitor the changes in the tax laws and their implication on the university.
  • Co-ordinate with tax auditors, prepare the Annual returns, provide all the information for the tax assessment and Appeal matters
  • Issuance of Form 15CA for Foreign Payment and arranging 15CB certificate from CA as and when required.
  • Reply to TDS, GST & Income tax notices well before given time frame.
