Job Description

As a Vendor & Supply Management professional at The Wedding Company, your primary responsibility will involve identifying, evaluating, and onboarding reliable vendors across various key categories such as venues, dcor, catering, artists, and logistics. It will be essential for you to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with vendors and service providers, while negotiating commercial terms, pricing, deliverables, and service-level agreements with them. You will also need to ensure vendor compliance with service standards, contracts, and operational guidelines, along with maintaining a comprehensive vendor database with updated rate cards and contact details. Monitoring vendor performance and taking corrective action when necessary will also be a part of your role. In terms of Venue Partnerships & Relationship Management, you will be required to establish and manage relationships with key wedding venues across Jaipur and surrounding regions. Regular visits to venues for relationship nurturing, updates, and deal negotiations will be necessary. Collaborating with venues for exclusive tie-ups, preferred vendor status, and package creation will also be part of your responsibilities. Keeping updated on venue availability, offerings, and pricing will be crucial for success in this role. Client Interaction & Closures will involve participating in client meetings and site visits as a representative of the supply team. Assisting the planning team in closing clients by presenting venue options and vendor solutions, preparing vendor proposals, costings, and presentations for client approvals, and handling vendor-related queries or custom client requests during the sales process will be key aspects of your job. In terms of Revenue Generation & Profitability, you will need to drive vendor-based revenue through margin optimization, bundled offerings, and commissions. Supporting overall project profitability through smart vendor selections and negotiations, identifying upselling opportunities within vendor categories, and contributing to business growth by building cost-effective, scalable vendor ecosystems will be vital for the organization. To excel in this role, you should ideally possess 5+ years of experience in vendor management, partnerships, or sales, preferably in weddings/events/hospitality. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the proven ability to build and maintain vendor and venue relationships. An understanding of the wedding/events market in Jaipur and Rajasthan, ability to multitask, work under tight deadlines, proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and basic CRM or vendor management tools are also required. A passion for the wedding industry and client servicing will be beneficial for success in this role. Joining The Wedding Company presents you with the opportunity for significant growth. You can expect to experience Series B, C in 24 months, witness a 100-people team grow to 200, and be part of crucial decision-making processes with founders and business leaders.,
