Assistant Manager (Stamping)

The Assistant Manager – Stamping will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day stamping production operations, ensuring quality, productivity, and safety standards are met. This role requires strong technical expertise in stamping processes, manpower management skills, and the ability to meet customer delivery requirements while driving continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will be to:

Operations:

• Plan and execute daily production schedules for stamping and forging lines.
• Supervise cold forging and high-speed stamping processes for precision components
• Ensure optimal utilization of metal coils and raw materials with minimal wastage.
• Monitor press machine(mechanical/Hydraulic) and forging equipment for performance and efficiency.

Tooling & Components Handling:

• Oversee die setting, mould tool maintenance, and housing component production.
• Coordinate with tool room for timely availability and upkeep of stamping dies and forging tools.
• Troubleshooting issues and support tool design improvement.

Quality & Process Control:

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications for forged and stamped parts.
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective / Preventive actions.
• Collaborate with the quality team for audits, inspections, and documentation.

Maintenance & Safety:

• Coordinate with maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance of stamping and forging equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and statutory regulations.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain production records, downtime logs, and efficiency reports.
• Support documentation for ISO/TS certification and customer audits.

Our requirements:

• Graduated with B.E./B. Tech in mechanical / Production/ Metallurgy engineering.
• With 10 – 15 years of experience in stamping and forging operations, preferably in automotive or precision engineering sectors.
• Technical Skills
• Cold forging and high-speed stamping expertise.
• Metal coil handling and press line operations
• Die Setting, mould tool maintenance, and housing component production.
• Knowledge of press machines, forging hammers, and hydraulic presses.
• Command of reading and writing English.
• Good working attitude and problem-solving skills.
• Good analytical skill.
• Team player.
