Role Overview

Assistant Manager Sales with deep exposure to the textile/fabric industry and a strong B2B sales mindset. The ideal candidate will identify, engage, and convert high-potential fashion brands and manufacturers while ensuring exceptional customer experience from the first interaction to post-sales support. This role is both strategic and hands-on, involving direct customer engagement, account growth, and industry networking.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Conversion

Identify and target fashion brands, garment exporters, buying houses, and manufacturers in domestic and global markets.

  • Generate and qualify leads through industry networks, exhibitions, cold outreach, and referrals. Convert leads into sales opportunities by understanding client needs and aligning them with company offerings.

2. Client Consultation & Sales Assistance

Act as a product consultant, providing clients with insights on fabric trends, textures, compositions, and applications.

  • Guide customers through the entire sales cycle from initial inquiry to order confirmation.
  • Prepare and present commercial proposals, product swatches, and sampling solutions tailored to customer needs.

Upsell and cross-sell fabric varieties, value-added services (printing, dyeing, custom weaving), and sustainable options

3. Customer Relationship Management

Build long-term partnerships with fashion businesses to drive repeat orders.

  • Maintain regular follow-ups for post-purchase feedback, reorder opportunities, and seasonal launches.
  • Actively collect and share market intelligence, including competitor activity and new fabric trends.

4. Issue Resolution & Client Satisfaction

Address customer concerns related to product quality, delivery timelines, and service levels.

Coordinate with production, logistics, and quality control teams for swift problem resolution.

5. Sales Reporting & Collaboration

Maintain accurate data in the CRM system (lead pipeline, client interactions, conversion ratios).

  • Share weekly and monthly sales performance reports with the management team.
  • Work closely with the marketing team for targeted campaigns and lead nurturing strategies.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 47 years in B2B sales, preferably in the textile/fabric supply chain.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the fabric, apparel, or fashion industry.

Strong knowledge of fabric types, weaving techniques, printing methods, and textile finishing. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office tools.

  • Educational Background: Degree/Diploma in Textile Technology, Fashion Management, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred.
