Description
Role Overview: You will be responsible for leading the Safety, Health, and Environment initiatives at the workplace. Your main tasks will include coordinating and monitoring production activities, ensuring smooth functioning of the production plant, driving improvement projects, and implementing and maintaining 5S at the workplace. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor process flow, capacity utilization, safety at the workplace, downtime due to breakdowns, and availability of resources to achieve required productivity. - Coordinate with the production team to manage production with consistent quality as per the target. - Continuously improve processes to reduce batch cycle times, increase yields, and enhance operational efficiency. - Ensure safe operation of the plant during your shift and act as a safety representative. - Contribute to improvement projects such as 5S and OpEx, providing necessary information and training to team members. - Analyze safety performance gaps and provide tools and resources to address them. - Maintain safety, health, and environment systems in the plant according to ISO standards. - Guide shop floor personnel towards improving safety culture and compliance with statutory requirements. - Monitor emissions and ensure compliance with statutory limits. - Ensure proper PPE usage, work permit system adherence, and timely training of employees. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in chemical engineering. - 4-6 years of technical experience in plant/operations management or team leadership. - Good interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to interact at multiple hierarchical levels. - Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques, statistical methods, and distributed control system operations.
