Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Finance Head in ensuring adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and corporate financial policies. 
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations at the plant (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets). 
  • Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books. 
  • Review and ensure timely posting of all plant financial transactions. 
  • Support internal and external audits, coordinate data and responses. 

2. Costing & Manufacturing Finance

  • Support product costing, standard costing, variance analysis, and cost audits. 
  • Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs, overhead absorption, material usage variance (MUV), labour efficiency, and yield losses. 
  • Partner with production, maintenance, and supply chain teams to identify cost improvement opportunities. 
  • Prepare cost sheets, BOM validation, and efficiency reports. 

3. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in preparation of annual plant budgets (production volumes, cost budgets, capex). 
  • Support rolling forecasts and monthly budget vs. actual analysis. 
  • Provide financial insights to functional teams for corrective measures. 

4. MIS & Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly MIS reports, plant performance dashboards, and KPI tracking (OEE, cost per unit, scrap ratio, etc.). 
  • Ensure accurate reporting of production, inventory valuation, and consumption. 
  • Analyse trends and highlight key issues impacting financial performance. 

5. Statutory Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Companies Act requirements and timely filings. 
  • Support statutory audits, tax audits, cost audits, and relevant regulatory submissions. 
  • Strengthen internal controls around inventory, procurement, and production processes. 
  • Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, Ind AS, and internal controls. 
  • Proficiency in cost accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing finance. 
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and MS Excel/Power BI. 
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams at the plant. 
  • High attention to detail and process orientation. 
  • Education & Experience

  • Qualification:

     CA / CMA preferred; MBA (Finance) also acceptable. 
  • Experience:

     Experience in Finance & Controllership in a

    Manufacturing plant environment

  • Experience in costing, audits, MIS, and plant finance operations is essential.
